I mean, I'm not surprised, it all makes sense. However it's a totally different angle than I EVER would have thought about.

Apparently, the Republican Party really is all about REAL people doing REAL things in this country.

On another quick note, I heard a quote tonight on the radio and had just tuned in as the quote was playing so I didn't hear which representative had said it. However, I can say there is at least ONE person in Washington who is thinking about the American people first. I do know that this was in regard to the Health Care bill being voted on and amended and all that craziness. He said, "If you would listen to the American people you would know that this is NOT what the American people want. They do not want this at all."

I am going to be looking into finding out who this is. He is definitely a representative who is doing what he was elected to do: represent the people who elected him, not working off his own agenda. He needs to be commended and praised for this.

In the mean time, go check out that other article. (keeping in mind the CRU data suggests the earth has not warmed over the last 20 years and cooled over the last 9 years). Some believers in global warming have totally abandoned their cause.

The AP (the Activist Press) has tried bury the story entirely and is reframing the Copenhagen talks next week in terms of getting people to breathe healthy air. So, in other words, we're not destroying the economy for the original purposes we had in mind. We're now doing it so we have healthy air to breathe.

This is a major, major event in the history science. All climate-warming research has been discredited for the fraud that it is. All the acolytes of its creed should be prosecuted, especially Al Gore, Barack Obama, and maybe John McCain (who has recently abandoned the premise of global warming).

Did you know if you like a Republican you will be tested?

I read, hear and listen to the complaints that Fox News is biased. After watching that video above what do you think about MSNBC and Nora O'Donnell? Those people were just standing in line wanting to get a book about SARAH PALIN and they were grilled to defend their reasons for liking her. They were asked to DEFEND why they believed in her and she even had a handy dandy quote ready for that poor young girl. I don't care if she was 13 or 17, she was no match for a seasoned (that is polite way of calling Nora Old) reporter. The gentleman did a better job.

Even Nora's commentary and that is what it was at the end, a commentary, was in appropriate about Sarah's followers. Stating these people have a connection even though they can't be specific about HER issues is wrong. She can't state that with any certainty. Her research is anecdotal at best.

I guess I must have missed the Media examining Obama followers making sure their connection to him was all about the issues and please let's make sure they grill those teenagers because the non-voters are so important.

But, more important standing there with note cards and direct quotes against a teenager, well, that is just an ambush.

Anyways, I am glad we believe we have ONLY ONE STATION THAT IS BIASED, OH YOU KNOW THE STATION THE PRESIDENT SAID AMERICANS SHOULD NOT WATCH. They shouldn't even be doing self checks! That's exactly what the report said. I heard it several times throughout the day and it was a news report (at the top and bottom of every hour) and there was even a clip of a person who represented said group talking about how, as a result of all these early tests, there are a lot of unnecessary procedures.

Now, at first, I thought, yeah I can see this. However, I also know of people (one I know personally) who are in their 30's and have found breast cancer either from a mammogram or a self exam. They have been able to get it taken care of immediately and, therefore, been able to go on in to lead healthy, active lives.

I know of others who, even with all these measures, struggle to fight this disease and ultimately lose the battle. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

I am never too tuned into any type of cancer. You would think, as a woman, I might have a heightened awareness to breast cancer; however, I am NOT at risk for ANY type of cancer really. I don't participate in any activity or behavior that heightens my risk. I have NO family member of blood relation who have ever had cancer (my grandfather died last year of prostrate cancer, but he was my mom's step-dad; no blood line there).

I'm not cold hearted about cancer. I do have a bit of compassion for them; but I do feel a bit of disconnect since it hasn't been a part of my life. I pray that I never do have to face this disease in any form for myself or any member of my family. I pray that NO ONE does.

When people DO face it, I hope and pray that through their doctors, both private and insured, can have the resources to fight it to the best of every one's ability.

But what does this have to do with a Conservative blog?

Well, remember that report I told you I had heard about yesterday? Turns out that I missed something in that report. It was brought to my attention earlier this morning. That group? WAS A GOVERNMENT FUNDED GROUP!

Do you see the connection yet? Do I need to complete that line for you? Do you see where this is going?

Here is a government entity that is telling women to NOT take precautions in catching a killer disease early. Here is a government entity that, by saying these things, is going to have more women dying from this cancer. It is ultimately allowing this disease to win.

Oh wait, would this be the same government who is looking at forcing us into their own HEALTH CARE system? Could this be the same government who will be looking at ways to save cost in health care?

Come on! Tell me I really don't have to draw the line for you. Tell me that you see this line.

Then tell me that anyone, in there right mind, would support any government run health plan.

Next they'll be telling people to stop having annual physicals. I mean, do you know how many diseases and cancers might be found there? Go ahead, light up the cigarettes. Heck, on this health care plan maybe they'll pass out cigarettes for free...it would just be less people to have to take care of since they will all see a premature death!

I want some new Boobies!!!

I am sick of LIBERALS!!!! I am over it. In addition, I am sick of all the double standards. Oh, you can't own a gun that is bad, bad, and bad and you are hiding behind the second amendment when saying it is your right but hey EVERYBODY IS ENTITLED TO HEALTH CARE and it is stated in the Constitution in the statement life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. WHAT???? That doesn't even make sense. Of course it doesn't! You are a LIBERAL!! There is an amendment in regards to bearing arms but nothing about health care. Funny, isn't it?

But, what I am ticked off about, what really has me in a tizzy, is ABORTION. It shouldn't even be considered. PERIOD. Abortion is an OPTIONAL PROCEDURE. I am over it. When are Americans going to be responsible individuals. I am not even going to debate it as a right or wrong. It is here to stay but to make taxpayers pay for it is WRONG. If you know you can't have a kid then be responsible and don't play around. Oh, I know sometimes things happen and blah, blah, blah. TOUGH. GROW UP AND DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES, WHY SHOULD I DEAL WITH ANOTHER PERSON'S DRAMA.

In addition, if they are going to start paying for optional surgeries then I want BOOBS!! I have been dying for bigger ones. It would help my self image and make me feel more like a woman and blah, blah, blah. So, there. If you are going to do OPTIONAL SURGERIES THEN I WANT BIGGER BOOBIES.

Wait, maybe not, then I would fit in with the BOOBS running our country!

What's Wrong With This Picture

Thursday a terrorist attacked our military in Fort Hood, Texas.

Today, the US House felt the most important thing for it to do was to call a special session on a SATURDAY to pass a bill that is heading us down the road to socialism.

I'm scared about our future. I hate to admit that but I am.

Can I understand the frustration with Insurance Companies? Yes. Do I want the Government taking over for them? No!

I don't even want to get into all the nitty gritty details of the Bill. That makes my head hurt!

Here are my two biggest concerns.

1. Who is going to pay for this NEW GOVERNMENT PROGRAM? I am assuming the American People. Which is the only correct answer. It is our GOVERNMENT. If we ask for a program we need to subsidize it. Now, here is where I think the logic gets fuzzy. I think bleeding heart Liberals have no problem taking from what they call the RICH and they get to decide the magical number or in other words define who is RICH and they want them to pay more. Although, in theory the Bleeding heart Liberal claims we are all equal and deserving of this PROGRAM, right? Therefore, shouldn't we all EQUALLY, pay into it? I mean why should the GOVERNMENT decide that a Magical number deems that person to have to give more to the Program??? Anyways, let's say we all have to end up paying in at some point, for argument sake. What amount are you willing to give up from your paycheck? In other words, if you give 15% of your pay now in taxes, and I am just throwing a number out there and basing this on a two income household with two children then how high are you willing to have your taxes go? Would 20% be o.k.? Would 30% be o.k.? Would you get upset if it was 40%? What is your breaking point?

Someone has to pay for the Health care program and do not fool yourself that it will only be the quote un-quote RICH. And what if you hit the Magical number, will you like finally reaching that point in your career only to have the Government take a chunk of it to make sure EVERYONE IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF???? Just asking?

Now, if you are perfectly fine with that! You think it is the moral thing to do, then I'm fine with your opinion. You truly have that right. You feel that you are incapable to give to the wonderful charities that provide for our poor and you need the GOVERNMENT to cover you. Which statistics have shown that Liberals do give less to charities that mean, despicable, horrid, let you die Conservatives. You know the Conservatives actually give more of their money away. Interesting, hmmmm.

Anyways. I understand, it makes you feel better.

2.BUT, why do you have such faith in the GOVERNMENT handling Health Care? See, this confuses me too. You seem to be the same people who gripe about how badly the GOVERNMENT has handled Social Security. You know another thing you pay into for your retirement because you can't SAVE your own money, on your own. Yet, now, all of you are whining that the GOVERNMENT has done such a poor job with this SOCIAL PROGRAM that by the time you retire you won't have anything. BUT, you want them to take on Health Care, hmmmm?

Then, at every turn you complain about our EDUCATION SYSTEM. I mean most of you try desperately not to put your children into the public schools and Home Schooling continues to grow every year. THE GOVERNMENT RUNS EDUCATION with OUR TAXES, hello, you do understand this, correct???

So, you don't like Social Security. You don't like our Education System. BUT, you think for some reason Health Care is going to be the one great SOCIAL PROGRAM the government can do!!! Um, o.k.

Lastly, I love going to all the little personal blogs and reading all these little personal horror stories that people have at clinics or hospitals.
For every one of those another person can tell an opposite story.

Like this: I have a relative, who is homeless. Really and truly. The guy has not worked for 3 years and for the last 10 years has had jobs part time here and there. He sponges off of family and friends. He has lived in his car and bounced from home to home. He goes to the hospital that never ever turns him away. He has no insurance. Obviously and they have never turned him away. Matter fact, one time the Doctor wanted him to rest and eat healthy so the hospital paid for him to stay at a hotel and eat at the hospital for a week. Unfortunately, he had a heart attack recently, he is o.k. it was mild, thank God, but the hospital took care of him. He received his stints and he is currently getting his medications. He has NO INSURANCE. They did not kick him out to die.

Once again, for every horror story there is an example of a poor person getting excellent care in the United States. I was unaware that we booted people out and left them to die. At least in my town, Doctors Care!

What I think is funny is that people complain about the mediocre teachers they get because they work for the GOVERNMENT and it is hard to get rid of a teacher. I ask you, don't you think this just might happen with Doctors? You know, when you take away the competition factor you get left with people just towing the line. Why do you think people try to send their kids to Private schools? They pay for their teachers, they pay for better teachers and can boot them out when they are not performing!

Now I keep hearing the United States compared to a lot of other countries. Let us look at these countries personal income taxes:

Comparable Taxes in 2005 Married 2 children

United States 11.9%

Canada 21.5%
UK 27.1%
France 41.7%
Germany 35.7%
Sweden 42.4%
Switzerland 18.6%

Bottom Line: You have to pay for Social Programs. What are you willing to pay out of your paycheck??? And, are you really absolutely sure it is money well spent? You really think the GOVERNMENT is best suited to run Health Care? If you say yes, then I do wonder, why? You already complain about two other huge social programs, Social Security and the Education System, what are you basing this trust on???

We Want What We Don't Need

I was thinking about this Health Care debate. Which one?

Well, all of them! Here's the thing that I see. Health Insurance is a BENEFIT that people PAY for. You want to go to the doctor? If you have insurance, you don't have to pay as much for that doctor's visit because you've been paying (or many times your employer has been playing) for your insurance every month. So maybe that doctor's appointment only costs you $30.

If you don't have Health Insurance, you can still go to that doctor...you just will pay more. Guess what? I'm okay with that.

Why? Because if you can't afford to go to THAT doctor, you can go to a different doctor. It's kind of like going to Target or Walmart to buy a bottle of Aspirin. MOST of the time, you're actually getting the exact same product, just for less money at one place.

You can't afford a particular doctor, you can go to another one. There are clinics everywhere in which you can go even if you don't have any money. When I first got a job out of college, I had no money. In my field of work, you must have a physical and TB test before you can be hired anywhere. I had no money. I had no insurance. How did I ever get a job?

I went to a local clinic that didn't charge me. They worked off of donations.

Why do we think that every single person in the USA needs to have Health Insurance? Because everyone has the right to have all things equal?

That's a wrong presumption. Everyone has the right to have equal OPPORTUNITIES. Finding a job, paying for your own medical care, and having money to provide for your needs (and yes, your wants as well) are all OPPORTUNITIES that everyone in this country has. Whether or not you take that opportunity is up to you!

Everyone doesn't NEED to have insurance, they just have to have to OPPORTUNITY to see a doctor should they choose to do so. I choose to see a doctor on the medical insurance plan that I pay for. If I didn't choose to accept that insurance, and pay into it, I would choose to either pay the full price OR go to a local clinic that doesn't cost as much.

Health Insurance isn't a NEED...it's a WANT. The government is not here to provide us with our WANTS.

NHS's Forced Euthanasia

The new media is exposing the euthanasia scandal in Britain's National Health Service.

You can read about it at hotair.com.

Basically, government health care wants to save as much money as possible, so they push people toward a quick death rather than pay the money for the expensive surgeries Americans are used to getting.

The NHS decides which patients are close to death and can withhold basic nursing services such as food and water with the patient's consent. Some doctors are getting upset because these patients are dehydrated and are not able to think clearly.

A person should never have the legal right to end their own life. This should be prosecuted, not encouraged or pushed upon people by the government as a matter of expediency.

The patients who are deemed "very close to death" are put on permanent sedation medication. Doctors are speaking out against this practice. Some are taking these patients off the sedation death cycle after discovering they were nowhere near death.

This is, by the way, the same health care that only authorized people to get anti-blindness medication once the patient had already gone blind in one eye.

The government's plan is to save money by refusing treatment and cutting off their costs (or as Obama put it "pulling the plug on Grandma").

If you doubt there will be death panels under Kennedy/Obamacare you should think again!

Living within our means

Here in California we are having budget crisis (not unlike many states I am sure). It only took us until months into THIS year to balance LAST year's budget.

Why? Well, we spend more money than we make and we finally hit a wall where the citizens said ENOUGH! We are the highest tax paying state in the country and really have nothing to show for it.

Highest paid teachers equal lowest school results (I'm talking graduating rates, test results, productivity, etc...).

People who live on welfare and food stamps and unemployment and never want to get off their duffs and actually make a living for themselves.

Small businesses going under not because they don't have clients, but because they can't afford the taxes; so these small businesses cross the nearest border and do their business IN California FROM a neighboring State.

The real problem, however, is that people don't want to be told, "No, we can't afford that."

Yesterday I was listening to the news and hearing people complain about a local college that had to lay off 600 employees and enroll 2200 less students BECAUSE OF BUDGET CUTS!

Does it suck? Yeah! But it needs to be done.

Remember when you were little and you went to the store and you looked longingly at the shiny new bike? You told your mom that you wanted that bike (maybe even told her you needed the bike) and she said, "No, we can't afford that right now."

I'll never forget the time I was about 12 or 13. I was so upset because I was taking just 2 dance classes a week. I would NEVER get to dance on Broadway taking only 2 classes a week. EVERY OTHER girl in the studio practically LIVED there, I wanted to do that, too. My mom turned to me and said, "Okay, you can take dance lessons every day. You can take all the dance lessons you want in order to fullfil that dream. But you will have to give up going to private school and the great education we are paying for. We can't afford both; so make your choice."

I wonder what she would have done if I said I wanted to go to public school and take all the dance lessons I wanted.

The point that I am trying to make is this: even at 12 I knew that there were some sacrifices that had to be made. There are times when we want, or even think we NEED, to have or do something; but in the end it is a cost that is too much of a burden on something or someone else.

Does it suck that 600 people had to be laid off because of budget cuts? Yes! But what would you rather have? A school that is 600 less people running it or a school that bankrupts and can now no longer be in existence?

The funny thing is, do you ever hear anyone say, "Hey, cut my wages by a certain percentage and keep both of us!" You don't. Even though that person made that same percentage just 5 years ago.

The problem is that everyone wants more. More money, more toys, more this, more that. No one wants to be told, "No, we can't afford that."

If there is no money to be had we just...can't...afford...it!

Can We Survive Our Politicians?

I am so angry I cannot even see straight. On August 27th, Senator Diane Watson of California, a Democrat stated, "that Fidel Castro was a bright man and great leader." I saw the direct quote on the Glenn Beck Show, Monday, August 31st. Unbelievable. I am stunned. We have Senators praising FIDEL CASTRO of CUBA. A brutal dictator. Cubans have swam to our shores for decades, the last 4o years, to escape this brutal dictator and a U.S. Senator had the nerve to praise him.

This says it all AMERICANS. Democrats are idolizing communists, socialists, and dictators. THIS SHOULD SCARE YOU!!! No wonder they want more and more of our liberties.

Praising FIDEL CASTRO, stunned, just stunned!

Here it is for your viewing. I still currently teach religion once a week but no longer teach Social Studies. I thought this was appropriate with all the children heading back to school.

Below is an email that was sent to me from a teacher. Enjoy and think.
It is funny and yet it is sad.
When the majority of Americans believe in God and yet we allowed a minority to stomp out the Majorities wishes.
The Separation of Church and State has been taken too far and waaay out of context. Americans need to be careful how far they let minorities go with all of their demands. We must remember that minorities are to be treated fairly BUT not run the majority. A democracy or better yet, a Republic stands on the fact that the majority makes the decisions, that is the purpose of voting.

Now for the Joke!

THE TEACHER APPLICANT

After being interviewed by the school administration,
the teaching prospect said,
"Let me see if I've got this right:
You want me to... go into that room with all those kids,

1. correct their disruptive behavior,
2. observe them for signs of abuse,
3. monitor their dress habits,
4. censor their T-shirt messages,
5. and instill in them a love for learning.
You want me to..
6 - check their backpacks for weapons,
7 - wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and
8 - raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride.
You want me to....
9 - teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and
10 - how to register to vote,
11 - balance a checkbook, and
12 - apply for a job.

You want me to
13 - check their heads for lice,
14 - recognize signs of anti-social behavior, and
15 - make sure that they all pass the state exams.

You also want me to....
16 - provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and
17 - communicate regularly with their parents in English and Spanish by letter, telephone, conferences, email, homework hotline, webpage, midterm newsletters, and report card.

You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps.

You want me to do all this and then you tell me......

"I CAN'T PRAY?"

Are you nuts!

Summaries

The State of Hawaii killed plans for a privately funded-hospital to go up on Maui because they decided the public hospital couldn't compete with it. In other words people are receiving inadequate health care because the big-government politicians admit the government can't do as well as private business.

On the island of Maui, there is only one acute-care hospital, the state-run Maui Memorial Medical Center. For years, residents of Maui have complained that the hospital does not meet their needs — too few beds, not enough specialists, and long waits in the emergency room. State bureaucrats finally cleared the way earlier this year for a small private hospital to be built, but only after scuttling plans to build a larger, more accommodating private hospital. A larger hospital, they said, would have an adverse impact on “the existing health-care system.” In other words, it would compete too effectively with what is now a state-run monopoly.

See the article here.

The killing of the F-22 leaves us without a fifth generation fighter jet that would probably cost the same or less than the Joint Strike Fighter. It is the only plane that could outdo Chinese aircraft. Is this cancelation part of Barrack Obama's intent to weaken the US military? It also kills our chances of exporting an aircraft to our allies. The F-22 contract was between NG and Boeing, but now Northrop gets all the funding. As far as i've heard, they have not been forced to die off en masse. I don't see how you can define something like this as a death panel when you already have insurance companies deciding not to treat people who are going to die because it is unprofitable. Caring for someones health is not always going to be a profitable endeavour, so they cut them loose through loopholes in the contract. It's happened so many times. The main goal of a corporation is to maintain (or increase) profits for the shareholders, and I don't see how philosophically that can be reconciled with caring for sick people. Their profits rise as the price of premiums increase and the depth of coverage declines.

America already spends more money in healthcare per person than any other country, and because it goes to subsidising private companies and not actual care, millions aren't insured, many of the ones who are are underinsured, and everyone still has to pay a sizable sum to be insured. It's absurd.

Although I applaud Timothy's attempt to understand another nation's health care I insist that he is far from understanding our current health care situation.

Firstly, insurance companies are not lining their pockets. My insurance company is HMSA, and they are on the verge of bankruptcy and they are far from alone. If any company declares bankruptcy the shareholders tend to lose the vast amount of their investment. If they were simply scamming people out of free money, why would they be on the verge of bankruptcy? If the CEOs were overpaid they would cut their salaries. Americans pay the highest amount of money toward healthcare because we have the greatest health care quality in the world. Why do you think people with prostate cancer are twice as likely (40% vs. 80%) to die from prostate cancer in the UK than if you had it in the US?

The other reason we pay so much is because the trial lawyers (who funded Barrack Obama's campaign) are lining their pockets and providing basically no help to Americans other than driving the cost of malpractice insurance up and along with it the cost of health care. Tort reform would massively lower costs for average folks many times more than "prevention" and other hyped up nonsense. [1]

Second, the goal of any corporation is to earn money (as opposed charities, which 80% of Americans believe work better than government aid) and I expect every corporation I have invested money in to make every dollar they can. My question for you, Tim, is how can a company make money by denying coverage to paying customers when they can switch their providers? If the government is the only health care provider and they say, "No" then who can you turn to? Not the insurance companies if the government drives them out of business.

Third, the status of executions en masse of the elderly with medicare and medicaid is in question. Obamacare is already in place in Oregon and they're telling some cancer patients they will not be compensated for life-extending drugs. Right now the Democrats are targeting medicare and medicaid because the funding of these entitlement programs is getting in the way of financing Obamacare. So basically the Democrats want to tell grandma to take a painkiller and forgo the surgery so they can pay for universal healthcare without breaking the bank (it would have broken the bank anyway, but not as obviously). Barack Obama has already put this on the table, and I find it very difficult to look at this option as anything other than a "death panel". To say that it doesn't currently kill seniors en masse doesn't mean the government is not planning to do this (it is), and the government is already doing this to some extent.

Government Healthcare

Government-run health care will be very, very bad for seniors. [1] [2]

Obama himself has admitted "experts" will need to build a consensus around "what works" which might include telling Grandma to take the painkillers instead of having life-extending surgery.

Sarah Palin called this cabal of experts a death panel and the Associated Press is going for her throat. They're saying her claim has been "widely discredited" and that it's all been "debunked" [1].

Which is strange because a panel of people deciding who lives and dies (by Barrack Obama's own admission) sounds a lot to me like a death panel. The Associated Press -more than any other group touting itself as a 'news organization'- is just a sounding board for liberal editorialists. No wonder the local papers are canceling their AP licenses.

The truth is Democrats have major concerns with government run health care, but you won't read that in the news. I've read article after article on RCP.com where Barack Obama supporters are opposing these deals and sometimes referring to the government comittees as "death panels".

The first person I can remember opposing Obama's health care agenda was Mary Landrieu of Lousiana. Harry Reid was adamantly opposed to the single-payer option. And there are a host of other democrats against it.

This whole issue will be a major albatross around Obama's neck. Entrade is majorly betting it will never pass in any form, and the companies who could be destroyed from the health care legislation are seeing their stock prices climb. If investors thought they were going to lose money, they would be selling it off like hot bricks.

It will not pass, and the Democrats are going to lose big next year.

Bill and Ben Franklin

Bill O'Reilly recently compared Barack Obama's health care policy with Ben Franklin's views on government.

Mr. Obama, of course, is a liberal guy—a community organizer who fundamentally believes that the American deck is stacked against many poor folks who, through no fault of their own, have been denied opportunities by society. So the president believes that it is government's responsibility to give those people as much money as possible. Free health care is free money.

That puts Obama squarely against Benjamin Franklin who said, "When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." Dr. Franklin realized that politicians who attempted to buy votes by promising rich entitlements could not look out for the good of the entire country. Thus, an inevitable decline would occur.

This continues the discussion Tim and I have been having about how Americans viewed Big Government when the nation was still getting started.

Palin Calls Obamacare 'Downright Evil'

Sarah Palin on Barak Obama's health care plan:

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Some say it is apples to oranges.

Let's put it this way. The victim's families from 9/11 have received large sums of money for a horrible tragedy. For their loved ones being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Typically, families have prove wrongful death. They have to SUE. The families would have to SUE the United States claiming they could have prevented the attack and by all accounts that was not possible. It was an act of war, blind sided, all out terrorism and typically, families don't get paid for casualties of war. BUT, the United States did pay and Americans lovingly donated to these families and YET we be grudge the people who KNOWINGLY and WILLINGLY die for US.

Below is a piece by Rush Limbaugh the numbers are accurate from the time he wrote it. It does make you stop and think, at least it should!!!

By Rush Limbaugh, March, 2002

I think the vast differences in compensation between victims of the September 11 casualty and those who die serving our country in Uniform are profound. No one is really talking about it either, because you just don't criticize anything having to do with September 11. Well, I can't let the numbers pass by because it says something really disturbing about the entitlement mentality of this country. If you lost a family member in the September 11 attack, you're going to get an average of $1,185,000. The range is a minimum guarantee of$250,000, all the way up to $4.7 million.?If you are a surviving family member of an American soldier killed in action, the first check you get is a $6,000 direct death benefit, half of which is taxable.

Next, you get $1,750 for burial costs. If you are the surviving spouse, you get$833 a month until you remarry. And there's a payment of $211 per month for each child under 18. When the child hits 18, those payments come to screeching halt.

Keep in mind that some of the people who are getting an average of $1.185 million up to $4.7 million are complaining that it's not enough. Their deaths were tragic, but for most, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Soldiers put themselves in harms way FOR ALL OF US, and they and their families know the dangers. (Actually, soldiers are put in harms way by politicians and commanding officers.)

We also learned over the weekend that some of the victims from the Oklahoma City bombing have started an organization asking for the same deal that the September 11 families are getting. In addition to that, some of the families of those bombed in the embassies are now asking for compensation as well.

You see where this is going, don't you? Folks, this is part and parcel of over 50 years of entitlement politics in this country. It's just really sad.

I agree Mr. Limbaugh!
It really is SAD!

Do we have a President?

Listen, I know we all claim that we want the President to relate to us but how much??
