Three Obama Quotes

Here are some quotes Obama has made that were all new to me:

"It's not just terrorists, it's not just Hezbollah, it's not just Hamas -- it's also cynicism." [1]

This is quite an equivocation. Cynicism is bad, certainly. Cynicism doesn't target civilian buildings to fly aircraft into. Muslim terrorists do that.

As for cynicism, we do see a lot of it in our country: particularly at the Daily Kos, MoveOn.org, the Drudge Retort, Netroots, Fark ... in other words the liberals are the main culprits of cynicism.

“All too often the United States starts by dictating” [2]

I still can't believe the president said this addressing a foreign nation! My translation is: 'You guys don't need to attack America. I'm capable enough on my own of tearing down my own countery.'

George W. Bush spent a long time talking with leaders in the United Nations about stopping Saddam Hussein. He didn't start by invading the country.

Hamas, Al Quaeda, Iran, and Hezbollah start by cutting off civilians heads, threatening nuclear war, etc, and president Obama wants the United State to become the world leader in surrendering.

“[It's] time to set politics aside" [3]

... In borrowing huge sums of money that our children and our achieving citizens will have to pay back? Doesn't that sound just a little political? Doesn't it seem political that he's telling us not to listen to Rush Limbaugh? Doesn't his order to allow public funding for overseas abortions seem a little political?

I wish Barack Obama wasn't a liberal ... but what is far, far worse is the way he postures himself as all things to all people -like he's above it all. I wish he would just say what his views are instead of pretending to be above it all.

(Also, along these lines, you might want to check out this excellent article by Fred Barnes about how Obama is his own worst enemy.)

Whenever I watch him, I have the sense that he is acting out a role. He carries himself as if he were a king in an old movie. I think he is a grifter and eventually, he will be found out.

Yeah, I don't think he's for real. I read an alarming quote by him the other day where he said what he was really thinking (about planting trees, I think), and I found it to be pretty vulgar.

Here's the quote:

The debates unnerved both candidates. When he was preparing for them during the Democratic primaries, Obama was recorded saying, “I don’t consider this to be a good format for me, which makes me more cautious. I often find myself trapped by the questions and thinking to myself, ‘You know, this is a stupid question, but let me … answer it.’ So when Brian Williams is asking me about what’s a personal thing that you’ve done [that's green], and I say, you know, ‘Well, I planted a bunch of trees.’ And he says, ‘I’m talking about personal.’ What I’m thinking in my head is, ‘Well, the truth is, Brian, we can’t solve global warming because I f—ing changed light bulbs in my house. It’s because of something collective’.”

I'll post it soon. The quote is recorded here:
