Sarah Rising

Sarah Palin has apparently risen 4 points in the polls to 49%, according to an opinion poll by Fox News. According to Red State her favorability was at 54% after the Republican convention and slipped to 45% after two months of campaigning.

58% of people said she was treated unfairly by the media. Among Republicans she has an 85% approval rating. Check out this excellent Fox News clip on YouTube:

Also, 73% of Americans think George W. Bush is a good person. As the title of this blog entones, it is difficult to quibble with earnesty. 53% of Americans think Historians will be unkind to him.

I'm a little concerned about the possibility of Huckabee winning the nomination. He criticised McCain for belonging to "the mushy middle", but that is exactly how I would describe Huckabee. He has consistently dogged all the Republican contenders, viciously attacking Romney (he tried to play down the book he wrote recently with many broadsides against the former Massachusetts governor), yet he is about as high as Sarah Palin right now. Some polls have shown him ahead.

I'm good with Palin or Romney...or how about both!

Romney sounds good to me also. I think I'd rather see Bobby Jindal in there more, but Romney has good business/economics sense.
