Raising Taxes is a BAD idea

We keep hearing it over and over no matter where in this great country you live: Democrats want to raise taxes to increase revenue.
It's a very bad idea. Raising taxes will actually hurt the economy. History has proven that when you decrease taxes, there is more money to put back into the economy.

When people have more money to spend, the spend it. This, in turn, allows more money to actually go back into play; and, in turn, end up actually paying more in taxes.
I figure this as well: by lowering taxes, I will have more money and will be much more likely to give charitably. So, all these social programs that my tax money is supposed to be going to, would benefit even more by lowering my taxes as well. When there is more money to be spent, people are more likely to share with others.
So, really what we should be looking at is lowering taxes to increase revenue as well as increasing revenue to charitable organizations. If the public can fund these programs on their own without taxes, how much better would that be for the socialists?
If their idea truly is to have citizens supporting each other, doesn't this make sense in the best way to do just that?

I couldn't agree more.
George W. Bush increased revenue by lowering taxes. Raising taxes will lower our revenue.
The reason a lot of businesses are folding right now is because they're predicting Obama will make their companies unprofitable. The government will collect less money (not that they know how to manage it anyway).
They don't know how to manage it; that's why I would love to manage my own money and make the decisions as to which departments I would like to see recieve my funding.
An interesting idea ... sounds similar to school vouchers but at a larger level.
I have really thought about it in great detail and am formulating a letter to my representatives for some possible (sure it's a stretch) changes, I'm discussing it on Nenni's World tonight.
Is that a television show or a blog?
If it's a blog, is it one I should consider putting in the sidebar?
Sorry, that's my blog and no, probably not one to put up since there is only sporadic political information there.
Here's a link to that post I was talking about: http://nennisworld.blogspot.com/2008/12/thought-you-were-safe.html
