The Blame

The Associated Press has recently suggested Barack Obama's chief-of-staff Rahm Emmanuel is threatened by the Blagojevich case. This has the possibility of tainting Obama's administration before it begins. I'm not sure I would have understood it this way myself, but if the Obama-loving AP says it, there must be something to it. New evidence shows Emmanuel had a lot more contact with governor Blagojevich than the transition team originally noted.
Also, in the news:
President-elect Obama has blamed regulators for the losses in the sub-prime mortgage market. See the article here. Fox News has interpreted this as Obama attacking his own party ... and I don't see any other way to interpret it. Barney Frank was the main overseer of the subprime regulations. I can't imagine what would happen if Barack Obama had made this accusation during the general campaign ...
Disagreeing with Obama (for a change), the New York Times is said (by Matt Drudge to be preparing to blame president Bush for the collapse in the sub-prime market. Apparently, they are going to put this to press on Monday. I don't see how they can make the case: none of the Democratic leaders blamed President Bush when it would have been very politically expedient to do so. My hunch is the New York Times is hemoraging it's subscribers who have become loathe to its bias disguised as "news".

Obama is such a shadowy character that I can only think this is the beginning of what is going to make Clinton look like a very moral leader.
I don't know if you read WND but it is interesting what has happened to the reporter that they sent to Kenya before the election and what has happened to Obama's family now in response to his grandmother's interview with him.
I can't also help but think of how strange it is that he did not attend the funeral of his grandmother in Hawaii being that she was so special to him. Perhaps the visit he made before her death was more of a cover while convincing the governor of Hawaii to seal the vaulted version of his birth certificate. Yes, I am being very suspicious because his behavior is supicious. For someone who ran on 'transpariency', he sure has a lot of secrets. If he is on the up and up then there is no reason for him to allow the vaulted version of his Certificate of Live Birth to be viewed, or to make his educational records public, or reveal how he paid for his education. He is the only president I know of who has used four different names.
This is the man selected by the media to be our president and voted into office by people who voted not for a man but a dream. I'm afraid that the dream is already becoming a nightmare.

I get more and more anxious as the day for the inaguration gets closer. I used to be so hopeful that something would stop his swearing in, but it's looking more and more unlikely.
Someone really needs to get a hand on that birth certificate!
Jenni,
I keep fading into denial about the whole thing. I keep hoping that he'll be just another rotten democratic president but he really is nothing like anyone who has held that office before and I'm not talking about his race.
The way this dove-tails with the crumbling free press in this country makes things seem more dire. We are crumbling from within and those of us who put our hope in God are the ones who will have access to the strength necessary to rebuild our nation. If we remember that ultimately all serves the Will of God it is less frightening. It only looks like things are falling apart, God IS in control.
Yeah, I'd like to echo what LL is saying. Those who live by the values of God and His Son are also rewarded by them. He understands what is going on, and He can stop it at His first preference.
